Description

Alocasia Longiloba Mint Aurea, a beautiful variegation in mint greens and golds. It's two plants growing together in the same pot, very lush and with their corms, forming a lively medium-large specimen. Grown and acclimatized at home, shipped with the utmost care in a single shipment. As a one-of-a-kind specimen, you will receive exactly the pot in the photos; remember it is a living being and may have grown a little more by the time we deliver it.

Plant details

  • Variety: Alocasia Longiloba Mint Aurea — aurea (golden) and mint variegation
  • Format: acclimatised plant, with active roots
  • Origin: grown and acclimatised at home, in Girona (Spain). Unique specimen: you receive the one in the photo.
  • Shipping: Mainland Spain €6.95 (free from €60) and European Union; live-plant packaging, heat pack from November to March.

Growing and care

  • Light: bright indirect; never direct sun (high light keeps the variegation; shade fades it).
  • Watering: when the top 2-3 cm of substrate are dry; Alocasia hates waterlogging.
  • Temperature and humidity: 18-28 °C, minimum 15 °C; humidity of 60% or more (humidifier or tray with water).
  • Substrate: airy mix (coco coir, perlite and bark); pot with good drainage.
  • Feeding: from spring to summer, balanced fertiliser at half dose every 2-3 weeks.
